Life changing memories

One of my life changing memories are my engagement story, on the 22 January 2012, I got engaged to an amazing man Ross Williams. My proposal was really unexpected, if you know me really well, you would have notice that I like surprises. On this beautiful Sunday afternoon my fiancé decided to take me to Eden on the Bay Moyo for lunch. We chatted over a lovely lunch for me this was just a normal day at my favourite restaurant. After lunch we headed down to the beach, it was pretty crowded as it was a real hot summers day, Ross mentioned that he had to go to the car an collect something , he said I had to wait on the beach he won’t be too long. When he returned, he had a little picnic cooler bag and a blanket, he then said “Angel let’s take a walk down to the beach”.

My words to him were “wow, you never really do things like this” I was completely stunned. We eventually took a walk on the beach looking for a spot to sit, we a laid down on the blanket, listening to music and chatting away.

Eventually Ross said “Angel let’s play a game”, I was like okay but couldn’t understand why he wanted to play a game; he said “if you get this game right you get a prize” all I did was laugh.

Anyhow after that I suddenly saw black rocks lying in the sand, really wasn’t sure where they came from all of a sudden, he the said “Angel you must turn over theses rocks one by one and read what it says”. I was so dumb struck I barely remember the rocks even been on the beach at that moment when we arrived, I even mentioned what could possibly be behind these rocks and laughed.

I then turned over three rocks, lucky for me the first two I turned over said marry me at this very moment I was in awe, complete shocked BBM Face, I eventually jumped up and didn’t turn over all the rocks, he shouted at me and said babes complete the game before you get all excited. 

So I then turned over all the black rocks which has silver glitter writing on them written, “I love you, will you marry me”. I immediately shouted our yes, yes repeatedly and hugged my fiancée at the same time he was on one knee proposing and I was struggling to get up onto my feet, as I was shacking from shock.  All he wanted was for me to calm down and say yes LOL, as people around us started wondering what’s happening. I truly couldn’t believe that he had proposed what a complete shock it was to me,was extremely happy; it’s a feeling every girl has to experience for herself.

That’s not all the first thing I did was change my BBM status to engaged to Ross Williams we had lots of shocked faces and well wishes. After we went to our friends showing off my beautiful ring little did I know that another surprise was awaiting me at his house. His family decided to give me a small welcome into the family party hehehehehehe, two surprises in one day I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

Every time I think of this special day my whole face lights up and my heart smiles, I can only but imagine the even greater feeling that awaits us on the 22 February 2014 when we finally say I DO.

This is one life changing memory I will carry in my heart and Cherish in my heart forever; I can’t wait to share this story with my children someday.
